I moved to the Midwest from California several years ago.  The beauty of the Iowa landscape has an immediate impact on a person.  Everything is so full of life - the land, rivers and sky.  The landscape's gently rolling hills, covered with fields of corn and soybeans contrasted by densely forested areas, add a rhythm and a sense of grace to the land.   I am trying to capture this harmony and tranquility in my paintings.
